If you have a lot of content, divide them up into different pages so that readers do not have to keep scrolling down. Apart from making it easier on the eye, dividing up content means that the visitor can choose what he or she wants to read instead of reading through the whole thing.

Then there is the ever so important issue of navigation. Your site might look great and have really well written content on it but if it is difficult to move around on your site then you are still going to lose visitors. Make sure that it is easy to move from one page to any other page on the site at all times. Navigation is a part of user-friendliness and as mentioned earlier, most surfers will not stick around long enough to figure out a confusing or tediously-put-together website.

When designing a website it is important that the designer thinks from the visitor’s point of view. It is true that any visitor would be impressed with creative and original designs but you also need to make sure that the design is, not only appealing to the eye but also cohesive with the rest of your website and content and, above all, makes practical sense.
