Whether you are a homeopathic doctor, a veterinarian, a physical therapist or chiropractor times have changed in regards to marketing your practice. The great world wide web has surprisingly not been embraced or leveraged by as many clinics and practices as it has for other industries. Today, it doesn't matter so much if you are a gifted doctor. It matters first that you can communicate that you are a truly unique and gifted doctor. Here are 4 quick tips for website strategies for doctors:

Tip #1: Differentiation: Your key message should be all about articulating how your clinic or practice is different than other doctor practices. Your key message should lead your website visitors to the conclusion that your clinic is their only smart solution. Developing strong points of differentiation requires some in-depth research into your competitors' key messages as well as their actual reputation. How are you different (and better) than the average physical therapist? You could very well have a stellar reputation, but if your website does not articulate and present your best qualities then the website will not bring in a steady supply of new patients.

Tip #2: A comprehensive virtual tour: Make it as easy, quick and convenient as possible for visitors to your website to get to know you, your staff, your facilities, your approach and all the other features and benefits of your clinic. Many people have a fear of the unknown. A virtual tour of your place and your people will ease their first time experience with the idea of going to a new therapist. If you don't want to get as high tech as a virtual tour you can still give visitors the same tour feeling through photo galleries of your facilities, your staff and even you patients.

Tip #3: Healing and recovery stories: Isn't this the holy grail for all patients in pain? They want to heal. They want to recover, and they don't want to have to waste their time or money going through 3 months (or more!) of regiments and therapies that didn't work. Keep in mind that patients today have many choices of PT's they could go to. Reading your patients' success stories of the healing and recovery they experienced under your care speaks volumes to build trust, confidence, hope and to reduce their fear of the unknown. I

Tip #4: A video message from you: People do business with people they know, like and trust. One way to allow your website visitors to get to know you better is to have bios and photos posted on you and your staff. A better way to allow them to get to know and like your clinic is for them to see you speak in a video message. Your "bed-side manners" is what you can get across in a video than you can not get across in mere print alone. People desperately want their doctors to care about them and their pain. Aim to get that across in your video message.

A well laid out website strategy creates trust and builds confidence in your clinic. On the flip side, a weak website or no website in today's market can have a negative impact on consumer confidence in the clinic or practice. Often, viewers will quickly make subconscious assumptions that if your clinic has not stayed current with (basic) web technology that your clinic must also not be current with the best medical care.
